Who We Are
Waffly Good is a woman-owned small business that has been supplying the Puget Sound area with fresh-baked 100% authentic Liège waffles since 2014. A dedicated husband and wife team, Jason and Vachi have been baking Liège waffles for friends and family since 2009.
Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, Waffly Good is a regular vendor at the Issaquah Farmer’s Market and is active at many of the area events in the East Lake Washington area.
What Are Liège Waffles?
Liège waffles, called Luikse wafels or Suikerwafels in Dutch and Gaufres de Liège in French, originate from the city of Liège in Belgium in the 1800s.
Liège waffles are special because they are made with pearl sugar mixed into a rich, yeasted dough. This sugar caramelizes when the waffles are cooked, so they are crunchy and sweet on the outside, buttery and flakey on the inside.
Because they require no syrup and toppings are optional, our Waffly Good Waffles make the perfect snack for people on the go. But they can also be enjoyed at leisure with your favorite cup of coffee or tea.
Kids of all ages love Liège waffles, and they make a great before- or after-school snack, because they are so easy to make, and they don’tmake a mess.
